C is for COLORS

(BTW wrote this once and somehow lost it in technical world)
Color is everything in knitting and why I do it. There are thousands and thousands of colorways of the various types of yarn that just make you "high" when you go into a yarn store. knitting with different colors is hard for me and I'm only successful if I use varigaeted yarn (dishcloths everywhere). The photo shows you the reason I would love to create with stranding which that Knit Picks Tote is or with intarsia which my unfinished pirate sweater is.

C is also for consistency which means keep on trying and going to yarn groups and getting help when needed. Here is a blog I hope will help: http://knittingincolor.blogspot.com/

  1. I LOVE playing with yarn colors! I'll often take colors you wouldn't think would work together and make an afghan or baby blanket that surprisingly looks really nice.

I even wrote an article about choosing yarn colors.

  2. Color is to my eyes what the feel of fibers is to my fingers. Good luck as you pursue your goal. That purse is quite magnificent.

  4. I love lots of color and texture in my knitting. Fair Isle is one of my favorites, although it takes time, which these days I'm lacking. I tend to start projects and get so close and not finish them.
I read in your B post that you're looking for good knitting blogs, my friend has a blog (although she hasn't posted in a long time, due to school) she has kept it up though, because there is a lot of great info on there. It's called Permission To Unwind. She has great tips and ideas and is fun to read. Anyway, I enjoy your blog and although I don't have as much time to knit, I love to see what others are doing! My top down sweater is still waiting for me.... :) Happy Knitting!
